Welcome to the Ignatian Spirituality Partnership of Maine!
FINDING GOD IN ALL THINGS
Ignatian spirituality is grounded in the conviction that God is active in our world. "God is not remote from us. God is at the point of my pen, my pick, my paintbrush, my needle — and my heart and my thoughts," Pierre Teilhard de Chardin wrote. The spiritual path laid out by St. Ignatius Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) is a way of discerning God's presence in our everyday lives and doing something about it.

The Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life
We are pleased to offer the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life each year for people who live in or near Maine.
Registration is open from late June until early September, or until the program is full. The program runs from early October until June. The group meets once each month virtually, and individuals also meet monthly with a spiritual director either in person or online.
A great source of online resources and programs…
office of Ignatian Spirituality
The Office of Ignatian Spirituality, a ministry of the Jesuits on the East Coast of the USA, is a great way to connect via online resources and programs. On their website you will find many Ignatian resources, retreats, and a directory of spiritual directors. For example, click here for resources on the Examen.
Spiritual Direction Training Programs.
Discerning a call to become a spiritual director? There are a couple of programs in the region that we recommend. Many of the spiritual directors who are part of our Partnership have received training through these programs.
Programs and Events.
We typically host several programs throughout the year focused on helping you deepen your faith through Ignatian spirituality. Visit our “Upcoming Programs/Events” page to find out what’s happening.
