Helping Mainers to find God in all things.

Welcome to the Ignatian Spirituality Partnership of Maine!

FINDING GOD IN ALL THINGS

Ignatian spirituality is grounded in the conviction that God is active in our world. "God is not remote from us. God is at the point of my pen, my pick, my paintbrush, my needle — and my heart and my thoughts," Pierre Teilhard de Chardin wrote. The spiritual path laid out by St. Ignatius Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) is a way of discerning God's presence in our everyday lives and doing something about it.

The Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life

We are pleased to offer the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life each year.

Registration for the 2023-2024 retreat is now closed as the program runs from early October 2023 until June 2024. It is for people who live in or near Maine, and there are options that would permit someone to participate fully online. Space is limited.

Spiritual Direction Training Programs.

Discerning a call to become a spiritual director? There are a couple of programs in the region that we recommend. Many of the spiritual directors who are part of our Partnership have received training through these programs.
